Construction Experience
Mike's background extends well beyond residential homes, with over 15 years of hands-on construction and architectural experience across some of Newfoundland's most complex and high-profile projects. His real-world resume includes large-scale builds such as the MIX Multi-Residential Apartment complex and a Mental Health Hospital facility.
A Foundation Built on Architecture, Technology, and Construction
A Provincial winner in Architectural Design who represented Newfoundland and Labrador at the National Competition, Mike holds a diploma in Architectural Engineering Technology from College of the North Atlantic, a Professional Technologist designation through AETTNL, and a Certified Property Inspector certification with InterNACHI. Before founding MEG, he was designing plans, managing procurement, overseeing restoration, and serving as Construction and Quality Control Manager on recognized builds across the Avalon Metro Region. That hands-on architectural and construction background means Mike doesn't just inspect buildings, he understands how they were designed, built, and how they should perform.

Born and raised right here in Newfoundland, Mike embodies the spirit of the province—friendly, grounded, and adventurous. A true motorhead, he’s the guy who loves anything with wheels—from four to two wheels. Add to that his love of the outdoors and passion for hands-on construction work, and you get someone who understands structures not just as buildings, but as the settings for real life, adventure, and community.
Meet Mike Gravelle Your Home Inspector and Lead Inspector
At the helm of MEG Inspections Inc. is Mike Gravelle, President, Owner, and Lead Home Inspector. Before founding MEG, Mike spent over a decade working across some of Newfoundland’s most demanding construction projects, serving as Construction and Quality Control Manager on The Mix Apartments, Project Manager on a 20,000 sq ft Community Recreation Complex, and contributing to the development of the province’s first new Mental Health and Addictions hospital in over 100 years.
A Provincial winner in Architectural Design at Skills Canada who went on to represent Newfoundland and Labrador at the National Competition, Mike combines award-recognized design ability with real, boots-on-the-ground construction experience. As a Certified Property Inspector with InterNACHI and Professional Technologist in Architecture through AETTNL, he brings a rare blend of technical credentials and proven real-world expertise to every inspection he performs.
