At MEG Inspections, we’re not just checking boxes—we’re raising the standard for home inspections. Founded in 2025 by Mike Gravelle, a Professional Technologist in Architecture with more than 15 years of hands-on industry experience, MEG was built on a simple belief: homeowners, buyers, and builders deserve more than a basic walkthrough. We combine technical expertise, advanced inspection technology, and a commitment to helping clients make informed decisions with confidence.
With deep roots in Newfoundland’s residential and commercial construction industries, we understand the unique challenges properties face in this province’s demanding climate. From hurricane-force winds and freeze-thaw cycles to the evolving standards of modern construction, we’ve seen it firsthand. Our experience in designing, building, and evaluating structures allows us to provide insights that go beyond what’s visible on the surface, helping clients better understand, maintain, and protect their investment.
At MEG Inspections Inc., our standard isn’t set by a checklist. It’s set by over a decade of real construction experience across some of Newfoundland’s most demanding builds. Founded in 2025 by Mike Gravelle, a Professional Technologist in Architecture who has spent his career as a Construction and Quality Control Manager, Project Manager, and Site Manager across the Avalon Metro Region, MEG was built on the belief that homeowners, buyers, and builders deserve more than a standard walkthrough.
Before founding MEG, Mike was on the tools and in the trenches, managing builds like The Mix Apartments and a 20,000 sq ft Community Recreation Complex, overseeing procurement, coordinating trades, and holding construction teams to the same exacting standards he now brings to every inspection he performs. That’s not a background you’ll find at most inspection companies. That’s the MEG difference.
With roots planted firmly in Newfoundland’s residential and commercial construction industries, Mike understands the realities of building, maintaining, and protecting property in this province’s extreme climate better than most. From managing restoration projects and navigating procurement on large scale commercial builds, to designing and signing off on residential work across the Avalon Metro Region, he has spent his career working in the same conditions he now inspects. Freeze-thaw cycles, hurricane-force winds, coastal moisture, Mike hasn’t just read about what these elements do to a building. He’s spent over a decade managing the consequences firsthand. That’s the kind of insight that goes far beyond the surface.
Our background isn't limited to inspection training courses. We have spent over a decade working directly across Newfoundland's construction industry, designing architectural plans, managing procurement, overseeing restoration, and stamping residential drawings as a certified Professional Technologist in Architecture. That full spectrum construction experience translates into home inspections that go far deeper than surface-level findings.
Our Spectora-powered reports are more than a list of observations. They're clear, photo-rich, and organized to help you understand what needs attention, what's a priority, and what you can plan for down the road. Reports are delivered quickly, and readible on any device.
